Kenosha man charged with DUI after fiery crash in Hainesville
A Kenosha man has been charged with driving under the influence and accused of crashing a SUV that exploded into flames when it hit a townhouse in Hainesville early Friday morning.
Adam R. Bileck, 32, was released from Advocate Condell Hospital and charged with two counts of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash, police said this evening.
The charges stem from a Friday early morning crash at 450 Patriot Dr. in Hainesville near Round Lake Beach, said police.
Preliminary reports said about 4 a.m., the SUV veered off the road and struck the house. The SUV burst into flames, and fire shot through the house, said police.
Bileck fled the scene of the fiery crash and hid under a pickup truck a few blocks away. The owner of that pickup truck discovered Bileck when leaving for work. Bileck then tried to hide in a marshy area off Hainesville Road, but was picked up by police.
Bileck was scheduled to appear in Bond Court in Waukegan Sunday morning.
