The Recipe:

Seared Ahi Tuna with Heirloom Cherry Tomato Salad



6 oz. ahi tuna steak

Canola oil

Kosher salt to taste

Crushed black pepper to taste

1/4 cup cherry tomatoes

1/4 cup French beans

1/4 cup artichokes

1 TBSP champagne vinegar

1 tsp extra virgin olive oil

1/4 tsp chopped fresh thyme


The Method:

Sprinkle tuna with salt and pepper. Sear each side for 30 seconds in very hot canola oil. Remove from pan and set aside.

Mix tomatoes, French beans and artichokes with champagne vinegar, olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Finish with chopped, fresh thyme. Slice tuna and serve over tomato salad.
