Good samaritan pays $21K overdue bill; gas turned back on at women’s shelter

A businessman in the northwestern suburbs stepped forward Friday and paid an overdue bill of more than $21,000 to People’s Gas for Clara’s Place in Chicago’s West Englewood neighborhood.

Crews showed up at the women’s shelter to turn on the gas to the shelter and a WGN crew was there.
