Teens work to transform graffiti in to art, reclaim neighborhood in process

The Ceasefire Graffiti Mural Youth Project had artists and residents with paint brushes in hand today, wiping out graffiti in the Little Village neighborhood.

The project took place at the intersection of 27th and Avers Ave.  The group painted over graffiti gangs use to tag their territory.

This is the fourth mural created by artists and local residents over the past month in the neighborhood.

A tour of the murals will take place Saturday afternoon November 2 f ollowed by a celebration at St Agnes Church on South Central Park Ave.
