Chicago police say they made 29 arrests were following a “large disturbance” at a South Side high school Tuesday morning.
It happened at about 10 a.m. at Percy L. Julian High School, located at 10330 S. Elizabeth Street.
The school released a statement saying:
“Today’s incident at Julian High School was quickly resolved thanks to swift action taken on the part of Julian High School staff, CPD and CPS, and all classes and activities resumed as normal. The education and safety of our students are our top priorities, and CEO Byrd-Bennett has provided Julian with additional support and security staff today and throughout the week to ensure that the learning environment for our students and staff remains a safe one.”
