Chilly conditions will continue across Chicagoland through the rest of the workweek.
Increasing clouds and northwest winds between 10 and 15 mph will help keep temperatures about 15 degrees below average with highs forecast in the mid-40s this afternoon.
Partly cloudy skies will allow temperatures to dip to around 30 overnight with upper 20s possible in outlying areas and slightly warmer temps downtown.
Partly sunny skies and a continuing northwest winds will keep temperatures down again on Thursday as highs are only expected to reach the low 40s.
A slight warm up is in the forecast for Friday with mostly sunny skies, but highs will remain in the upper 40s.
