A postal carrier spent hours in the hospital after being attacked on the Northwest Side Tuesday afternoon.
The long-time employee was working his route at Karlov and Dickens when two men, one with a gun, attacked him, fracturing his jaw.
One of the suspects had a gun.
Neighbors rallied around him and waited for police to arrive.
Nothing was taken from the carrier so investigators aren’t sure what the motive was.
One of the suspects is described as African-American, 25-30 years old, 6’1″. He has dark skin with an elongated face & a goatee. He also has a gold or yellow tooth in the upper side of his mouth.
