Wright-Way Rescue may have temporary home

The Wright-Way Rescue Center in Niles may have found a new temporary home.

A school bus crashed into the shelter October 2, destroying the building.

Since then, the shelter is keeping adoptable pets in a warehouse space donated by a supporter, but the permit to use that facility expires today.

Now, the owners of a former veterinary clinic in Des Plaines are offering their building if details can be worked out.

Another adoption event to help the Wright Way homeless pets will be held at Pet Smart in Skokie this weekend.

$130,000 has been raised so far.

What about the driver of the bus? Evict her and use her house. How about the bus company? Why aren't they donating enough funds to purchase a new building?

It should be no problem finding empty buildings for those animals and they can probably negotiate a really good deal.
