The deadline for CTA riders to switch to Ventra cards is just down the line

Starting Monday, you won’t be able to add money to your Chicago Card.

Chicago Card Plus users can still add money until they activate their Ventra cards.

Both Chicago cards become useless on Nov. 15.

Ventra has been in use for about one third of CTA riders since it launched, but there have been numerous complaints about the transition.

Issues include long waits on the customer service hotline, balance inaccuracies and waiting weeks to get the card in the mail.

that's sucks! that mean, that the CTA bus is no longer in use, that means, that people will use the Ventra cards for now on. That's more money for the CTA people. I am going back to Texas to get the day passes easier that way.
