Some animals will have to find a new home after a school bus crashed into a shelter in north suburban Niles.
The bus slammed into the middle of Wright-Way Rescue shelter Wednesday afternoon.
The bus was pulled-out in the evening causing bricks to tumble down.
The 62-year-old driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
She was not injured and was the only person on the bus.
No staff members or animals were injured.
The shelter had just undergone extensive renovations.
It’s now seeking donations for repair costs and needs foster homes for the 25-animals, mostly dogs, which were in the building at the time.
