Girl critical after hit-and-run in Logan Square

Two people were injured in separate hit-and-run crashes in the Logan Square neighborhood.

The first accident happened near Fullerton and Lawndale around 7:30 Tuesday night.

A 17-year old girl was crossing the street on a crosswalk when she was hit by a black pick-up truck.

The pickup truck drove off. Police are still looking for that driver.

The girl was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition.

About an hour earlier, a man in his 30’s was hit by a red car at Fullerton and Leclaire.

He was also taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, in serious condition.

The 18-year-old driver in that crash later turned himself into police.
