3 teens charged with beating man as he got off bus

Three teens have been charged in the beating of a man as he got off a bus in Ford Heights.

According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, the three 16-year-olds attacked the 49-year-old man as he was getting off a bus near Woodlawn Abe and Diplomat Ln Wednesday around 7 p.m.

One of the suspects took the man’s bicycle which was located at the front of the bus.  That suspect then punched the man in the face.

Other members of the group the suspect was with also punched and kicked the man, according to the sheriff’s office.

Police arrived found the man lying on the ground with severe injuries.  The man was taken to the hospital where he remains as of tonight.

The three teens were identified and charged.  The police are asking for help in identifying other members of the group.

    Theres just no peace in this city. Everyday someone is either getting seriously hurt and injured or either shot and killed or beaten to death. It’s got to get better than this. We need peace in our city. It’s heartbreaking to watch our beautiful city go down like this.

    No Ford Heights is not the City. Having said that the whole County of Cook is becoming a breeding ground of nothing but crime. It is of no wonder the rest of the state dislikes us.

    The criminal injustice system is no deterent for this behavior. We have felons charged with Aggrivated Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a felon who don't go to jail, let alone back to prison; like that guy who shot 13 people weeks ago.
