Chicago police have issued a warning to South Side residents about a man who has been posing as a federal agent and then robbing people..
The first robbery happened Tuesday afternoon at 81st and South Paxton.
Before that, it happened about a mile away at 77th and Colfax on September 15th.
In both cases, the man said he was a federal agent by the name of Franklin.
Even though he didn’t wear a uniform or have identification, police said the man convinced each victim to get into his car.
The man then pulled a gun and robbed them.
Police said the man was driving a tan SUV with temporary plates.
He is described as a black man between 40 and 50 years old, and about six feet tall.
He’s bald but has sideburns and a goatee.
