Victims identified in fatal small plane crash
The victims of the small plane crash in Bolingbrook are identified.
They are doctor Narayan Venguswamy, and his wife, Jay.
Doctor Venguswamy had a pilot’s license, and the couple was on their way from Kentucky to the Chicago area for a medical conference.
An aviation source says the couple`s plane touched-down at Clow Airport just after 5 p.m. yesterday evening, but changing winds sent it too far down the runway. So, they attempted a second landing.
But, their plane hit a tree, a light pole, several cars, and then crashed in the parking lot of a Chase Bank on Weber Rd.
Venguswamy worked at Georgetown Community Hospital for 27 years.
His wife loved photography.
The couple had two adult children.
