If you saw a bright fireball streaking through the sky about 6 a.m. Thursday, you’re not alone.
The American Meteor Society received dozens of reports about the fireball from seven states, including Illinois.
The path of the fireball went over Indianapolis, and scientists believe it broke up near Richmond, Indiana.
It’s similar to the large flash of light seen over Russia earlier this year.
Scientists are trying to find video of the event, and are using Doppler radar to continue their investigation.
