Ex-alderman Medrano convicted on third corruption charge
Ambrosio Medrano pleaded guilty to a 2010 bribery scheme in federal court Tuesday.
The 59-year-old admitted to trying to influence a bandage contract at Stroger hospital.
He faces more than a decade in prison at sentencing in January.
Medrano went to prison in Chicago’s infamous Silver Shovel Case and also awaits sentencing on a separate bribery conviction this year.
