Nine months since the Newtown, Connecticut school shootings, parents of the young victims went to Washington Wednesday to demand more gun control, and they plan another demonstration today.
They are joined by people from Chicago who have lost loved ones in shooting incidents. Illinois Congresswoman Robin Kelly is there, as well.
The demonstrators say Congress should enact universal background checks for all gun buyers.
Wednesday’s and today’s rallies were planned well before Monday’s massacre at the Washington navy yard.
