Driver caught going over 100mph twice in one day
A man is accused of driving over 100 miles per hour, twice, in one day.
Naperville Police say an officer caught Konnor Burns going 103 miles per hour early Saturday morning.
The officer couldn’t catch up, so he went back to where he was.
That’s when he saw the same car go by again, but this time it was going 124 miles per hour.
The officer says he recognized the car as belonging to Burns, so he went to his house.
The officer says he saw Burns walking inside, when he got there.
Police say Burns’ father, William Burns, answered the door and insisted that he was the one driving.
But the officer says the father appeared to have been sleeping.
Konnor Burns is charged with speeding, driving under the influence and reckless driving.
His father is charged with interfering with police.
