Chicago police have issued a community alert after a series of strong-arm robberies on the Near West Side.
Three separate hold-ups took place on September 5th, all in the area of Lake and Ashland.
In each case, police say the robber approached someone, threatened his victim with physical force, and either showed a weapon or implied that he had one.
There are no reports of the victims being injured.
The robber is still on the loose; victims described him as black, 18-30 years old, 5’8” to 6’1”, 150-180 pounds, with his hair in black dreadlocks.
