Chicago area cleaning up after strong storms

Thousands of people in the Chicago area are without power Saturday, because of strong storms that hit Friday night.

ComEd expects to restore all service by Saturday evening.

North suburban Skokie was one of the hardest hit areas.

Heavy rains and strong winds knocked down dozens of trees and some power lines.

It caused one house to catch fire.

Two firefighters were taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion.

Public works crews are planning to work through the weekend in Skokie to clean up storm debris.
