Party planning apps
Just in time for Labor Day, Mashable.com came out with a round-up of the best party planning apps.
Here are some of my favorites from their list:
$4.99 on iOs
If you use this app to plan your party, you probably don’t need to use any other app. Import your guest list and keep track of who’s RSVP’ed, who’s paid, etc. Keep lists, delegate tasks and set reminders all within the app. Another cool feature is you can create an interactive seating chart on top of a photo of your party venue.
Free on iOs, Andorid and Windows phone
Think of this app as a digital cookbook. Sign up for an account on Pepperplate.com and start saving recipes your favorite recipes. On Pepperplate.com, you can import them from a URL. Or, you can type in your written recipes on your computer or through the app. Then, you can create shopping lists and plan a three-course meal all within the app.
99 cents on iOs
No party is complete without the game Heads Up. Created by Ellen DeGeneres, is like the board game Taboo or charades. Put your iPhone or iPad on your forehead, and your party guests will have to describe the word that’s displaying on the screen. The camera will record your friends’ acting out and describing the words, and then post it directly to Facebook.
