From the archives: Americans read King’s speech at Lincoln Memorial

Every day thousands of people visit the Lincoln Memorial. But, few have a chance to recite the “I Have a Dream” speech on the very steps where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. stood in 1963.

In winter of 2011, photojournalist Mike D’Angelo spoke to people visiting the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. about how far we’ve come since King’s speech.
