MLK “Dream” speech celebrated 50 years later

Wednesday marks a watershed moment in the history of America’s civil rights movement.

On August 29th, 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech to a massive crowd during the March on Washington.

Ceremonies commemorating the speech kicked off over weekend in the nation’s capitol.

President Obama headlines another event Wednesday.

It will include a march and speeches by the president and his two democratic predecessors Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.
