More than 350 bicyclists joined members of the rickets family today, to kick-off a 100 mile fundraiser for Chicago Cubs charities and World Bicycle Relief.
The Wrigley Field Road Tour, as it’s called, is an annual fund-raising event.
The cyclists wheeled out of the friendly confines this morning for a 50 mile ride to a suburban lunch spot, and a 50 mile ride back.
WGN’s Dina Bair and Courtney Hall participated in the day’s event.
Money raised provides bicycles to students in rural Africa and funds programs focused on health, fitness and education for underserved Chicago young people and families.
