Alligator caught in Flat Foot Lake
Alligators have been turning up at several forest preserves in Cook County.
Cook County Forest Preserve officials said they’ve had reports of two alligators in Flat Foot Lake.
Witnesses said one alligator that was caught was about four feet long.
Another alligator believed to be about two and a half feet Is still on the loose.
Officials said the animals were probably someone’s pets that were dumped in the lake.
Their threat to people is considered slim.
