New law protects renters in foreclosures

Governor Pat Quinn signed a bill into law today protecting renters in foreclosure cases.

It’s an all too familiar situation.

The homeowner is foreclosed on and their tenants are caught off-guard and have to find new homes.

The new law will give them 90 days before they have to vacate.

Governor Quinn and others urged people potentially facing foreclosure to log-on to the state’s website Keepyourhomeillinois.org
