Chicago Bears fans will face the NFL’s new security rules for the first time at Thursday’s preseason game.
The NFL is getting pretty restrictive over the kinds of bags that people can bring inside the stadiums.
The league wide policy change was in the works for awhile, but officials reacted quickly after the Boston Marathon bombings.
Fans will be allowed to bring in purses, but they can’t be any larger than a clutch style purse that’s about the size of your hand.
Larger clear bags are allowed, but they can only be 12″ by 6″.
In addition, all fans should expect to go through a security pat down and metal detectors.
This policy is in place at all NFL stadiums.
All confiscated items will be gone for good, just like at the airports.
