August is running 4.5 degrees below normal and 10 degrees behind the average to date a year ago, when there had already been four 90-degree days!
Meteorological summer 2013’s running approximately 7 degrees behind last year, while Lake Michigan’s Chicago shoreline water temp is down 9 degrees.
80-degree temperatures and higher humidities are predicted here Tuesday but global forecast models from the National Weather Service, Environment Canada and the European Center are keeping the cool summer temperature regime going overall.
