Teens charged in shooting of 4-year-old girl held on bail

Three teens charged in the shooting of a 4-year-old girl earlier this week have been ordered held in lieu of bail, authorities said.

Laquan Waters, 18, Tyrese Pearson, 17, and Roosevelt Stevens, 15, were each charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder. Stevens was charged as an adult.

Waters and Stevens were each ordered held in lieu of $1 million bail, and Pearson was ordered held in lieu of $900,000.

Khalise Weatherspoon was shot as she rode a scooter outside her grandmother’s house in the Marquette Park neighborhood.  She remains in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.

A 35-year-old man was also wounded in the shooting.

Khalise was the fourth child age 7 or younger to be shot and wounded in Chicago in July.

Jessie and Al should stay out of Florida and start to look at Chicago and Detroit. Seems to me there are quite a few "blacks" that need some guidance from Jessie and Al. Good luck Chicago, things will not change until everyone starts to open their mouths and identify all the thugs that shoot at anyone, without thinking they may be hitting the wrong person. I feel sorry for all the families that have lost loved ones due to these creeps.

I hate when people bang on the key board as if they got all the information, My family just as confused as you all are. Funny how 3 getting charged but only "1 or 2" were seen coming from the ally.

The police didn't know who they were looking for. 2 boys were seen shooting and they were picked in the line up. The 3rd boy happened to have similar features of one of the two given descriptions, and they are charging the 3rd boy because of that.
