Man, 95, dies from bean bag rounds after police confrontation

A 95-year-old man in Park Forest died in a violent confrontation with police, because he didn’t want to be committed for medical treatment.

PoliceLights400x225Police say they went to the “Victory Centre,” a senior living community, Friday evening when John Warna refused to get into an ambulance.

They say he attacked them with a cane and a 12-inch knife.

They responded with beanbag guns.

One of the beanbags hit Warna in the abdomen, and he died of internal bleeding.

    Why didn't the police restraint him in a wheel chair. For crying out loud he was 95 years old!
