Store owner attacked with bat over tank top

A man attacked a store clerk with a baseball bat on Chicago’s West Side.

It happened Tuesday morning at a convenience store in the 5500 block of West Belmont.

The clerk told police a man came in and asked if they carried XXL-sized tank tops.

When the clerk said “no,” the man pulled out a bat and attacked him.

Security cameras in the area may have captured the man running away.

The clerk was treated for a cut to his head.

No arrests have been made.
