Fresh fruit, fresh start: Cart company helping people get back on their feet

You may have seen fruit stands set up if you’re walking around the Chicago.  The carts are actually part of a program that helps Chicagoans get back on their feet after addiction.

The company  is called Neighbor Carts and it teams up with organizations like Streetwise and Hope House.

The organization operates like a franchise: Providing the carts, aprons and support.
It helps people turn their lives around, become entrepreneurs, and learn valuable skills.
WGN’s Courtney Hall talks with Neighbor Carts operators and organizers about how its expanding and helping people.
