‘Method’ to open first U.S. plant in Chicago

“Method” — a company that makes eco-friendly home, fabric and personal care products — will open its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Chicago’s Pullman neighborhood on the South Side.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office says the new facility will bring nearly 100 jobs to the city.

The plant will be located near the intersection of East 111th Street and South Doty Avenue in Pullman Park.

“Method” expects to break ground next November and be fully up and running by early 2015.

How many will be permanent part time jobs due to Obama care. If the company makes 61 of those 100 jobs part time, they can escape Obama care and the employees will be stuck with the health insurance bill or pay the fine.
