2 men, 1 woman wounded in South Austin shooting
A lone gunman wounded three people shortly after midnight Tuesday in the South Austin neighborhood on the far West Side.
Police say the suspect emerged from a gangway and opened fire in the 100 block of North Central at about 12:30 a.m.
Two men, ages 22 and 24, were both shot in the back and are in serious condition at Stroger Hospital.
A 31-year-old woman was wounded in the arm pit.
She was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, also in serious condition.
A block west, on North Parkside Avenue, officers taped off and guarded a yard where a gun believed to be involved in the shooting was recovered.
