A muggy Monday for Chicagoland will be just the start of a hot and humid week.
Partly cloudy skies won’t slow today’s warm up as temperatures are expected to top out near 90 degrees.
There is a small chance for a handful of showers and storms to bubble up during the afternoon and early evening hours.
After a warm and muggy night Tuesday’s temperatures are forecast to be even hotter with highs in the low 90s and heat indices in the mid-90s. A very slight chance for a pop shower or storm will stay in the forecast.
Hot, humid and hazy conditions will continue Wednesday and Thursday.
Highs in the low 90s will feel like the triple digits thanks to high amount of humidity across the region.
