Rev. Jesse Jackson, anti-violence groups ask for peace in Chicago

Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. joined several peace organizations for a rally on the South Side, Friday.

Jackson, Saint Sabina’s Father Michael Pfleger, and the mother of slain teen Hadiya Pendleton also took part in a march later that night.

Hadiya was killed in a Kenwood park near President Obama’s home about a week after participating in his inaugural festivities in Washington D.C.

Hadiya’s mother, Cleo Pendleton, says she fears Illinois’ new concealed-carry law will make the violence in Chicago worse.

Father Pfleger urged businesses, churches, and homeowners to protest the law by posting signs at their front doors saying “no guns allowed.”

May God bless those that pray for peace and may the prayers make evildoers change their wicked ways!! We wouldn't need guns, if crime wasn't an issue.

I do not do with a business if there a sign that states no guns allowed. If every CCW holder does this, then the business will start seeing a lost in business. Hopefully people will see that people who have CCW are not the person that going to harm you but protect you in case if something happens. Just like what happen in Colorado, what would happen if one person in the movie theater had a CCW and was able to save some lives that day? But most movie theaters ban guns, so do we really want out to ban guns from people who have a CCW permit, who has some training in using a weapon?

    Think about that.

As unintelligent as you sound in your post, I wouldn't recommend you carry a water pistol.

What I mean at the beginning of my post is that I do not do business that has a no gun allow policy.

The stores with signs that says no guns allowed, are the ones that are going to get robbed.

It is a shame that so many people are killed in Chicago. I would like to see what crime is like after a few years with this law passed. In my area in Florida the more people that get a CCW permit the less crime we have
