Autopsy: Death of girl, 8, ruled homicide
The death of an eight-year-old girl on the West Side was ruled a homicide.
An autopsy revealed that Gizzell Ford died from strangulation and blunt trauma
Ford was pronounced dead at her South Austin home on West Adams Street Friday morning.
A spokesperson for the department of children and family services said the girl’s grandmother was being investigated for abuse and neglect.
Police could not confirm if anyone was in custody.
No charges have been filed.
