Pregnant woman loses baby after beaten in Back of the Yards

A pregnant woman lost her baby after a group of people beat her.

It happened in the 4800 block of South Laflin on Monday night.

Police say a group approached the woman, who is 25-years-old, and exchanged words.

The group then knocked the woman to the ground, where she was hit repeatedly in the stomach.

The woman was nearly 8-months pregnant.

She was treated at the hospital, where she delivered a girl who was still-born.

So far, no suspects are in custody.

    This is so sad, makes you wonder if and when things will ever get better. Reminds me of a scripture at Psalms 37:9-11. There is mentions how the wicked one will be no more,but the meek ones will posses the earth.Certainly we look forward to a time where there will be no more crime,violence and suffering.My thoughts and prayers are with this young lady and her family.
