Bail set at $1 million in hate crime attack against 2 women

A judge set bail at $1 million Wednesday, for a man accused of beating and robbing two women, while attacking their sexual orientation in the Austin neighborhood.

Police said Terry Glover, 24, was part of a group who robbed the two women, 25 and 23, of their cell phones and cash early Sunday in the 0-100 block of North LeClaire Avenue.

The group kicked and punched the women, while making derogatory remarks about their sexual orientation.

The women were treated at a hospital, and released.

Police are still looking for other suspects who ran away after the incident.

Glover is scheduled to appear in court again on July 15.

How come we the public have not heard from the Rev Jackson and the Rev Al. If it was a black victim the both would be all over the news.

At least one of the victims was African-American. It's not at all relevant to the story itself. Why did you immediately assume a racial angle to the story?
