Woman beat, sexually assaulted in Humboldt Park

Chicago police issued a community alert after a woman was sexually assaulted in Humboldt Park.

The attack happened near Western and Augusta Boulevard early Monday morning.

A man attacked a woman inside a bus stop shelter.

He then took her to a gangway, where he beat and sexually assaulted her.

No arrests have been made.

Police released a vague description of the attacker, but they say he had diamond studded earrings in both ears.

      First question I had too. Honestly, we're supposed to base the entire description on his EARRINGS? I doubt he would remove those if he found out that was the ONLY descriptive piece of this report. Poor reporting when fear of racial profiling makes our reporters unwilling to even describe an assailant beyond "diamond studded earrings in both ears."

    What kind of description is that? The females need to know more specific details so they can get a gun and shoot this dirt bag.
