Economic policy and workers’ rights will be the focus of a labor breakfast Tuesday morning during the Rainbow Push Coalition 42 annual convention. Capture

Political and community leaders have focused on several key issues this week, including gun violence, and the government’s need to take action.

Reverend Jesse Jackson said, “This is terrorism.  Innocent people are being killed in the crossfire, in the gun-drug lack of attention.  We know where the guns are manufactured, we know where they’re sold, we know where the straw-purchase points are.  We know where the drugs are grown.  There aren’t drug fields in Chicago.  There aren’t gun stores in Chicago and gun shops.”

Jackson says he hopes President Obama will develop a comprehensive plan for economic growth and to fight gun violence.

Don't you think it's way past time that the parent(s) take responsibility for their own gang-banging punks??? "a comprehensive plan for economic growth and to fight gun violence"….sounds like JJ is looking for more handouts….why don't you yourself donate the amount of money that your son stole from the public???

I agree. These parent’s don’t care. They know there kids are out there in the streets. They are in groups. They destroy their own neighborhood. Jackson is the racist person, and I would not trust him. Like you said, his own son and daughter in law were no better. They stole and they should get more time in jail the same as the governor.

Gun control is an abject failure in Chicago. Therefore, more gun control is warranted? Remember what Einstein said about doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results? INSANITY!
