Elderly woman, 93, attacked on the way to church

A reward is being offered for help in finding the men who attacked and robbed an elderly suburban woman. Crime Scene 2

The 93-year-old victim was attacked about 6 a.m. Monday as she was walking to church in the 1500 block of South Linneman in Mount Prospect.

The woman said two young men about 18 years old hit her from behind, knocked her to the ground, and ran off with her purse.  She was taken to Northwest Community Hospital with a wrist injury.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call the Mount Prospect Police Department at (847) 870-5656.  Anyone with information can also leave an anonymous tip by calling Mount Prospect Crime Stoppers at (847) 590-7867.

Crime Stoppers tips are eligible for a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and prosecution.

    The innocent getting attacked how are we suppose to defend ourselves without the descriptions. Young punks getting crazy they need an ass whippin.

    Once these punks are apprehended, their sentence should include supervised work at a nursing home emptying bedpans.

        A "bullet in the head" won't teach these punks and their friends anything…give them consequences that will help them become more human.

    They will not post which race did the crime. Obviously not white…….don't want the public knowing how much black on white crime there is. Would start more racial conflict. Go with statistics, facts are facts!!

      So race doesn't matter when a Caucasian goes on a shooting rampage — statistically that's who commits most of that type of crime — the only thing that concerns people is their 'mental state'. Closet bigots…

        Race matters when perpetrators are on the loose after a crime like this, and a detailed description can help in the prevention of further attacks.
