A man is being called a hero, after chasing down a robber on the Fourth of July.

Gary Dailey says he was walking through a tunnel under Lake Shore Drive, near Division Street, when someone from a group of people tried to take his phone.

He managed to hold onto it, but then he heard a woman scream, and saw a man grab her phone and run.

Dailey followed the man, chasing him for four blocks, until police caught up to them.

Quejuan  Henley, 18, was arrested, and charged with felony robbery.

Dailey was able to return the woman’s phone to her.

He says he chased after Henley because he was sick of others not doing anything.

We used to do weekend visits at least three to four times year. We love your city. But we will not be back until you get your streets under control. Good job Mr. Dailey! Maybe there are more willing to do the same. This is YOUR problem Chicago. YOU must fix it!

I agree 100%. I live in the sw burbs and won't go downtown anymore. I fear for my life in Chitcago. The police have all they can handle. They can't stop the violence because people won't SPEAK UP!! Those that know who the thugs are, and you know who you are, need to OPEN their mouths so the police can corral these animals. The mayor is a joke and leading chitcago into becoming the new Detroit. Kudos to Mr. Dailey!!
