Cops: Parents leave baby in car to shop at sex store
The parents of a 9-month-old baby are charged with child endangerment after leaving an infant in a parked car while they shopped at a sex store.
It happened in suburban Libertyville on June 22.
Police say temperatures where in the high 70s when they arrested Michael Cegers, 18, and Jessica Hurley Smith, 20, from Wisconsin.
They were shopping at Lover’s Lane, leaving the infant on his own for 20 minutes.
Police say the child was crying and sweating profusely.
The couple told officers they left the baby in the car because no one under the age of 18 was allowed inside the store.
