Spain’s ‘Running of the Bulls’ kicks off this weekend

Spain kicked off it’s annual Running of the Bulls festival in Pamplona this weekend.

Thousands of thrill-seekers try to outrun six bulls through the city’s streets, over a half-mile course.

Runners are known to get trampled on their way to the bull ring, dozens are injured every year.

Some say the nine-day festival is popular because Ernest Hemingway glorified it in his novel “The Sun also Rises”.

Hemingway was born in Oak Park.

Hope we see some major injuries to all of these fools that participate in taunting these animals!

I can't believe the barbaric practice of publicly torturing animals continues. Yes, Hemingway glorified it, but he had some issues with constantly trying to prove his manhood. Any civilized country would have stopped this spectacle long ago.
