The trial of George Zimmerman resumed Tuesday with the lead investigator back on the stand. He and other officers testified about what Zimmerman told police in the days after Trayvon Martin was killed.
For the first time, jurors heard Zimmerman talk about his version of the night Martin died through audio tapes. A tape in which Zimmerman called 9-1-1 and referred to Marin as suspicious was played in court along with the a video of Zimmerman re-enacting the incident that occurred in February 2012.
The trial continues Tuesday morning and the case’s lead investigator is expected to take the stand.
