Unruly passenger causes Chicago flight to divert
An off duty federal agent was one of at least four passengers who subdued an unruly man on an American Eagle flight from Albuquerque to Chicago today.
Just before Kansas City, the man reached over passengers and tried to get out what he thought was an exit door. He also started speaking loudly in Russian, vomited twice & tried to light a cigarette.
The man was eventually subdued in his seat; the federal agent sitting next to him, the other passengers standing in the aisle nearby.
One of those passengers, Kevin Mugan, said they were ready to take drastic action if needed.
Passengers clapped when the plane made an emergency landing in Kansas City and the man was escorted off without incident.
The plane arrived at O’Hare around 2 p.m.
The Albuquerque Dept Of Aviation says the man was kicked off another plane less than 24 hours earlier for a similar incident.
