* The Mariners lost to the Pirates on Wednesday, 4-2, for their fifth defeat in the last seven contests. Over the last 10 games, Seattle pitchers have a 5.63 ERA (55/88.0) and opponents are hitting .323 against them.

* Seattle is last in the American League with a .228 average versus left-handed pitching. The Mariners are 7-15 in interleague contests dating back to June 9, 2012.
