An attempted jewelry store holdup in Oak Brook left one suspect shot and two others on the run.
Three men walked into the C.D. Peacock jewelry store in the Oakbrook Center mall Sunday afternoon.
One had a sledgehammer, and he smashed a display case before a store security guard shot him.
The other men ran away as shoppers watched in horror; the two men stole a mall employee’s black Jeep Liberty and drove away.
Police are searching for the two suspects.
