People are getting desperate what a shame someone has to pay the price.

He was a good man and dedicated his life to making a better life for his family. Someone needs to catch this worthless person that did this.

Come on, perpetrator- can you not find SOMETHING BETTER TO DO than to kill decent, hard working community members? Karma is coming back to bite you. Prayers for Mr. D and his family.

It is time the citizens take to the streets and demand changes. Nothing has been done so far for decades against crime. People have to demand it NOW.

Another good reason to allow Chicagoans to carry guns. Restaurant and store owners should be able to defend themselves and their employees.

I wish we'd read more stories about the good guy shooting one of these scumbags in the face and ending their moronic lives. Kris is right in the one post…it would make these bad guys (or should I say cowards) think twice about robbing or shooting someone.

    This is such a tragedy.
I knew John, as he called himself, he was a loyal customer of the company I worked for.
It saddens me to learn of his death. I didn’t know him on a personal level, but enjoyed his company when we spoke.
My condolences to his wife and family.
    Terrible, terrible loss.

Another SAD death in Chicago and Illinois. This city and surround communities are killing zones for thugs and gangs without any stopping by law enforcement. The Chicago and community law enforcement , Chicago Mayor, council and the Governor just does nothing to stop crime. It is time the people demand changes. Nothing will be done until the people demand it. Citizens cannot just stand or sit by and let the killings continue, the people need to take justice into the streets, demanding change.
